Chemical Cleaning consists in performing various cleaning processes through the recirculation of chemical solutions that are determined according to the type of material or equipment to be cleaned, with the ultimate objective of reaching an optimal state of operational cleanliness of that equipment. It consists in various phases in which there is specific control over the different parameters.
There various types of jobs that can be performed:
- Pre-operational work at plants: For commissioning work on pipelines or equipment, whether they are made of steel or stainless steel, exhaustive cleaning is required. Chemical cleaning manages to sweep away all remains of dirt, rust, scale and welds that could affect proper operation of the equipment.
- Maintenance: The advantages of chemical cleaning over other procedures are based on the reduced time, the simplicity of the process and the possibility of doing the cleaning in a closed circuit and without having to perform considerable disassembly work on pipes or the parts of an installation. A clear example would be the decarbonation of a cooling circuit.
